Don't get the 8220, get the 8300, amazing phone.

Don't get the Motorola. Why? Shitty Windows OS, shitty battery life, shitty brand, etc.

you obviously dont know your phones. HTC Touch = GSM also. proof? here it is!

as suggested get the Tilt. its got UMTS, HSDPA and EDGE support. also has GPS, 128mb ram, 256 rom, SDHC support, qwerty keyboard thats comfortable unlike the bb, and has a versatile application list. also the phone can be updated if a software upgrade comes out.

the htc touch is expensive though, it costs as much as an iphone

I'm also with AT&T and I have the Blackberry Curve. For the hell of it I wanted to see how long the battery would last. It only received moderate use and I intentionally didn't use any IM services or the internet. The charge lasted for over a week. What was even more impressive to me was that after it started to tell me that the battery was dying the phone still didn't die for another day or two. All of my other phones that I've had would have died within hours (Samsung, Motorola). I like how my IM, email and text messages are set up on it. You can't beat their push technology. I love that it corrects spelling and punctuation. It already has a large standard list that you can add to. It's nice not having to add an apostrophe to something like "haven't"...it does it for me. Or, I can have it set up that if I typed "punc" it will spell out punctuation. I did install an IM service that has MSN, AOL and Yahoo. I only use MSN, and it looks identical to it with all of the standard MSN emoticons. I tweaked the internet and everything looks perfect on the screen. I have no problem seeing the screen outside. The Curve is also extremely light and fits perfectly in my hand. It's not the best phone in the world, but it will suffice for now.
