Exactly. I would have told her to STFU I don't want it, respect my decision as a buyer or I would have asked for another sales person. These sales people make most of their money on the service plans so they are gonna say anything and everything to get you to buy it. Microsoft alone has a 3 year warranty so go get your money back. If your 360 breaks, you call MS and they will take care of you.

Best Buy, at least when I worked there, was not commission-based salary. The only reason we would push Best Buy performance plans is because managers would constantly bother us to sell them. Some managers would actually berate you if you did not sell a certain amount of performance plans... probably because they would get bonuses based off their store & department performances. The salespeople rarely saw any rewards for selling a lot of performance plans, except for certain occasions. For busy days a person who sold the most plans would get something like a $25 best buy gift card (whoopty doo)

Oh this is a no-brainer, keep the warranty.

When I used to work at Best Buy, I would see at least one person every day come in with that replacement plan to swap out their xbox 360 that crapped out for a new one.

Yea, Microsoft HAS extended their warranty to three years, but ONLY if you are getting the 3 Rings of Death error. Otherwise, any other issue that you have with it falls under their standard warranty.

On top of that, if you were to even take advantage of Microsoft's warranty, you would be without an xbox 360 for three to four weeks.

With Best Buy's plan, you can walk in with your bricked xbox and walk out with a brand new one. Plus, BB's plan covers more than MS's warranty anyway.

For the record, that lady that sold the plan to you was still a bitch for continuously pestering you about it.
