LAST I CHECKED NEW YEARS EVE THIS YEAR ON MY CALENDAR WAS 2007 ??
am I loosing my head ? and to the guy that thinks this is a shit party your honesty is appreciated ... there is something out there for everyone ... I am just glad and proud to provide people with a less conservative alternative ... whatever you guys decide on hope you are safe and have a ro;;ing good time.
He's actually from Detroit and def reppin for Detroit. But yes he does live in Atlanta. His sound is coming back hard, playing gigs like Smartbar in chicago and Fabric in London
Are tickets going to be sold in advance or just at the door? Is there a chance that it will sell out? Has anyone ever been to an event done by these promoters? What will the crowd and security be like?

I just noticed that most of the people raving about the line-up are on the line-up.

Who is raving about the line up?
Mr Clown,
F.A.M.I.L.Y has been doing events in LA for about 15 years, ask anyone about the legendary FAMILY events and I assure you they will have at least one crazy story to tell about there glory days. As far us the the promoters such as Marty (ever here of sublevel or Doc Martin?)
or GRAVY/Sexymodr which is me we have been responsible for doing GRAVY as a weekly house show which evolved into "one off" underground events in and around LA. We have brought out such talent as M.A.N.D.Y, Claude Von Stroke, Dj Garth, Dj Heather, Q-Burns, along with most of LA locals in the past 5 years.
The past 2 NYE events we had between 5-800 people. Yes there is security and they are generally pretty lax. This is not a all ages rave rave... Over the years our events have had a pretty mature crowd.
We will not have presales sold and our venue holds 1000 people, and will have 3 rooms of music. Since we are working with numerous promoters this year on our line up, I suggest getting there as early as possible. The venue is always kept under raps until the day of. More details to come.
cheers.

Interesting. I was going to do NYE up in San Francisco, but this party is intriguing. What's the reasoning behind keeping the venue under wraps until day of?

Basically to keep it intimate so that 20,000 candy kids/gangsters/taggers don't show up with glow sticks and raver pants. Also... sometimes a venue isn't locked down until after the promotion has been put out. It's just the nature of the beast. We try to keep the vibe mature at our events.

Sounds keen, I like smaller, more intimate parties. You have talked me out of San Francisco. Now I just have my eye on how the breaks party with Tipper over at Space Island develops...

Gravy parties are always sick. Underground, chiller.
