Try taking a blow-dryer or a heat gun and warming up the sticker first. That should make it easier to remove. The various reccomended solvents seem pretty sound.

thanks for the advice guys!

i was able to get it almost completely off using really hot water, sponge, and a plastic "razorblade" thingy. ill use some of these tips to get the last remnants off.
