the wood yard will cut the parts for a small fee...

the only issue you have is having to buy a power amp. like a second hand peavey or something with about 100watts power. you cant use a hi-fi amp because most have some type of eq within them to make the sound more 'hi-fi'. this means you dont get an accurate flat sound.

i think you could build a pair of 8"+ 1" dome boxes and buy an amp for under 200 dollars.
