Hey to each their own. I just hate when people say thing such as that as all trance is not all cheezy.

Jose Gonzles Crosses (Tiesto Re Rub) for example is something that is top notch and falls nothing in to a category listed above.

Yeah but I like Jorri Hulkonnen's mix alot more.

Not all trance is cheesy, but alot of what is popular is to me. I dont mind cheese now and then, no denying garnier played a bunch of diva vocals, but sometimes those superficial lyrics just get unbearable. And this is coming from someone who likes a lot of Oceanlab tracks (mostly the older ones). And I did fucking rave hard to No One On Earth everytime I would hear it out. I've just moved on...

this is misguided or ignorant.

the only part that is right is the no profit, but if you make a few hits and take the DJ route like so many producers do these days with the advent of Ableton and CDJ's, there is some money there, but EDM production shouldnt be approached with the idea of "profit". If your having fun making house music, its rewarding, profit is a nice bonus. In other words keep your day job, make music for fun, if profit comes along roll around in it while you can.

no forumla needed, just do it your own way and make it sound good and possibly dj friendly if you want anyone to play it.
