All things considered you got out of it alright after a 60km/h head on collision with just a broken rib, but that's probably little consolation really when they just wrote off your new car with their stupidity
I hope the morons had insurance! If they didn't take them to court and burn them bad. My late model V8 Calais ended up looking something like that when it got rear ended in the wet and pushed into traffic and it was only dumb luck that no one got hurt at all.
Well, no one except me who had sunk a few thousand into the engine and brakes that wasn't covered by the insurance... that stung. |
It actually works to my advantage that I knew the guy before the crash because I know where he lives but better yet I know his mum. I've been trying to get a hold of him to get his insurance details for 2 days and he's been ignoring my calls. I have no idea why simply because he cannot get out of this, he knows he caused the accident - the police know hes at fault.
I rang his home earlier to speak to him and his mum answered so I went over the situation with her and pretty much said if he doesn't have insurance and I don't get the money I should for my car I'm taking him to court and sueing him. Thing is his family is loaded so his mum will probably end up bailing him out in the event that he doesn't have insurance. Also it's not just my car he has to worry about, an evo got smashed up too.
I really don't want to go to court over this (even know I know I'll win) - it's just so much hassle and bullshit, however I don't think it will get to that.
