No. At least it hasn't been that way for the previous three other year mixes.

Yes, deep down, in the far reaches of my soul, the euphoric sensations of amazing trance will tickle my innards...but I will do my best not to succumb to these temptations of amazingness...

I personally never liked these types of "megamix" mixes where you only hear a short piece of the songs played.

i think it will be a great mix to have as background on a party at home or in the car... everytime we have the same people who whine about the same thing, and i can understand some people wont like so many tracks mixed into 2 cd's, but personally i like it. Especially cd 1 is always a very well mixed cd with some interesting combinations and mxies.

Does he dictate the content on these discs or does a higher superior tell him he needs to slam 40 tracks on an 80min disc?

I'd imagine it was much like that Hot Pepper scene from Dumb & Dumber:
"I dare you to put 40 tracks on a single CD and sell it. Double dare ya. It's on!"

Bitching about the same thing only because it's true. Personally, I thought the 2004 year mix and the episode 200 mega mix were both rather good. The problem with both 2005 and 2006 is that A. The tracks sucked and B. The ordering was awful. If you're going to do something like this (and your tracks are for the most part awful), you have to put a TON of thought into placement and mixing, which it most certainly doesn't look like he did once again (I still have yet to hear it and thus cannot give a full judgement).

It's best not to even address Stino considering he fails to realize the irony of him bitching about "the same people" who complain every year.

It's a vicious cycle.

Oh, and just for the sake of posterity:

Think of it this way; If you're a connoisseur of fine coffee, Starbucks just isn't going to cut it for you, you want something with it's own unique flavor and effect. ASOT and Armin are the Starbucks of EDM, particularly Trance music, and this is their holiday gift pack sampler that has a little of everything in it, but no real substance what so ever.

I said I'd post it every year, and I'm sticking to my guns.
