Totally agreed. I love doing long, drawn out mixes, and I couldn't do that if my Technics started wobbling off pitch all the time. The Numarks will never be as good as the Technics.

What do u guys think of the Gemini PT 2100's?

I just bought a pair of TTX1s, I LOVE them.

First, let me say that Tech 12s are awesome, they are the industry standard, they are tanks, they rule, I have absolutely nothing against them. I've spun on Techs and they are amazing.

I wanted to be different, so I tested out a pair of TTX1s, and I ended up purchasing them. True, there are a few bells & whistles on there that I probably don't need. But, its nice that they are there. I prefer an "S" tone arm, just cuz I'm comfortable with it, and its a little easier on my vinyl, but maybe one day I'll want to learn how to scratch, become a little more versatile as a DJ...I can throw on the straight arm. However, I doubt I'll ever use 50% pitch adjustment...you never know though.

One of the other TAs mentioned that the "keylock is bullshit". Not so. The keylock is pretty cool, but unfortunately you need to set the output of the TTX1s to line. Once you do that, it works.

Wow and flutter seems to be higher than the Tech 1200s.
Technics 1200s are around .035%
Numark TTX1s are around .15%
According to Numark, the TTX1 wow&flutter measure may seem high because the motor is empowered with a much greater RPM variance. It is capable of a 50% pitch range in 33&1/3, 45, and 78 RPM. The motor control servo continuously monitors over 800 points of optical resolution per revolution (versus less than 300 on Technics 1200s). I like long/drawn out transitions too. When my beatmatching skills are up to par, I've had no problem running 1 minute PVD-like transitions. The tunes stay synched on the TTX1s

Remember, I'm not saying that these tables are replacing Techs. I just wanted to try something different, and offer fellow TAs an opinion on a possible alternative.

the numark is new, and hasn't lasted years yet, but beyond that fact, it's more like a gadget truthfully
