It's totally legal to own assault rifles in the States, so its not that weird.

yep exactly...what is it about the states though that made these incidents so common?? why mainly the states? you can't just blame it on the gun laws..that obviously plays a major role but i think there's more to it

only in the States. And in Finland. And in Canada, most recently Dawson College in Montreal. Those Columbine kids started a nasty trend that probably won't stop anytime soon

i'll tell u why. its called treating people like shit. and in america, thats exactly what we do to EVERYONE(except the ones we like i.e friends, family- although alot of times they get fucked over too). We are a very proud people and with that comes that "I" attitude which brings the "I am awesome" or "you ain't shit compared to me" creating a huge ego. and when your ego is bruised/fucked with, you think retaliation. its human nature too i guess. but some americans like to kill more than others

i can't figure out what it is because i don't live there but you have an interesting point...i wonder if other americans share that view...i'm sure that many would say that it's the gun laws to blame primarily

even in Canada, it's not that hard to acquire an assault rifle. (only 5 round magazine, and semi auto only, plus you need a permit)
if a psycho wants to go on a shooting rampage, all this anti gun laws aren't going to change the fact that if you want a gun, there are always places that you can go to and get one. and if a person doesn't care whether he dies or not... well then, all the security measures won't prevent these things from happening
