I had a fun time for most of the night. It was great to see so many people that I haven't hung out with since the summer. Thanks to everyone for being so friendly and welcoming And for those of you who made a special effort to come out last night I truly appreciate it.
Talla started off his set with some amazing tunes! Deadmau5's Not Exactly (put me in a GREAT mood!), the Wippenberg Remix of Needs to Feel, the Wippenberg Remix of Should Have Known, and many others.
Nathan Barato did a great job inside the Gallery; it was my first time seeing him spin and chatting with him. Then, both Sydney and Deko-ze kicked the shit out of the Gallery! Both sets had a LOT of progression and were filled with banging beats. I heard some unreal bass-lines last night--very cool! It had been a long while since I had been in the Gallery and to see two of my favourite locals spin back-to-back was exactly what I wanted and that is indeed what I received. As soon as Deko-ze finished his set he turned to me and said that I need to check him out at the Comfort Zone: he warned me that if I come out for the first time to Cozo on NYD then I'll either absolutely love it or, alternatively, never want to go back again haha. Deko-ze has such a great personality and you can't help but love the guy BTW, the sound in the Gallery was LLOOUUDD: my ears took a beating after being in that room for like 4 hrs straight.
I also spoke with Talla in the main room closer to the end of the night; he was very easy-going and a pleasure to chat with. We talked about trance in Germany as well as where he may be playing in the future.
All in all it was good fun.
Thanks to Derek for having us over before-hand; and thanks to everyone who was a part of my night
*heart Sydney
