+17.51343!

Even if you don't know anyone, it's relatively easy to find a person that does that. Pay him a few hundred $$ and he'll get you the best deal for the money. Plus he'll be way better at picking cars than probably you'll ever be

buy your self a 2001 VW jetta or golf and call it a day
make sure its a 2.0L 5spd, you take care of it, and it will last you well past 500,000km
yes it is an import but parts are cheap online
most reliable car for the money i think

worst advice ever

VW are some of the most unreliable cars out there
you must have gotten one of the few good cars they made (if your talking from personal experience)

i would recomend the sentra
I drive an 03 sentra and have had no major problems
the belt went but they all go after 100,000km and it was a $85 fix

^ thanks for the reply...i've been reading good things about the sentra, so that is helping my decision.

I have several friends with either jetta's or golf's...they've all had their share of problems, so i definitely won't be going that route.

Get a Subaru Legacy '97-01. They are quite affordable and relatively cheap on parts. You wont get stuck in the snow either

You cant go wrong with a civic, corolla or any other small Japanese 4 banger. Go on consumer guide and read the reviews etc...

Avoid VW, Audi, (any American)... unless you are a mechanic or like working on your car all the time

German cars are awesome cars to drive and their interiors are bar none the best but they are expensive to maintain.

+1.

Whatever you do, do NOT get a neon! They are really shitty cars that like to surprise you on a regular basis by breaking down. My mom had one and it was extremely unreliable in every way possible. Also, if you plan on getting into any more accidents, I should let you know that it is one of the most unsafe vehicles to crash because of the way it is built.

I did this in the summer:

and the police and junk yard people were amazed that it looked so good after it was flipped over:

The only positive outcome of that accident was the fact that the neon got totalled and we had to get a different car. KEKEKE.
