yes, viral, i found out the definition just now and it def fits the bill
no one says these events are not for real and these are not "people's candid reactions"
this is about the message that is being sent as I am sure that there were people who just ordered the next thing on the menu
I must admit that if I was a BK regular I would not like if they decided to stop selling them
it has been a few years since i've stopped eating fast food combos but I do remember prefering BK over Mac's, Wendy's etc...

To me, viral marketing is marketing where you do not think of it initially as an advertisement. This is a story about BK not selling whoppers, and you only realise its an add after the fact. It fits the bill, but it was a little too blatant.
