The problem of choosing specific sentences/words, Ian, is that every region has its own peculiarities, and we'd need a huge list. For example, many Americans would pronounce "pen/pin" and "cot/caught" the same way, and many Brits don't distinguish "heart/art" and "put/putt" at all (I believe that's your case). Probably, it would be more interesting if every speaker talked (or wrote) about his/her accent in the end, pointing out what's unique about it.
As for the encoding, tubularbills, the tutorial is quite simple... I just need some time to take the screenshots What program are you using, by the way?
Oh, and I'm looking for North American accents too, josh rising.

my accent sucks though. its not really from anywhere. or are you talking about doing it in our own language? |
In our own language. In your case, Nachos, I really want to listen to your accent in Spanish because, as far as I know, the rolled "R" in Guatemala is somewhat unique.
Ivand, noikee and bangoSkank - I'm soon going to pm you guys in order to check how (and whether) we can do it
