I havent got any near death experience but a guy in my family did...

Its my Dads brother.....He fell and hit his head on the toilet on a party...so he goes to the hospital and they tell his family that he got a brain thingy (whats it called? Like a infection) and that his brain is dead....they also get to know that there is nohing to to and that he will die.. so they go like crazy (he was only 40)....1 day later when they where at our place and we where planning the funeral and stuff they call from the hospital to tell that there where some special doctor visiting them and that he could take a look... So hours l8r it turns out that they found 1 part of the brain still working... Ok...we where planning his funeral....but 3 days later they said he might survive...he layed for half a year in koma and didnt talk..then he started communicating by pushing hands....Now its gone like 4 years i think and he can whisper stuff...its really sad..hes in a weelchair to.....but the interesting part is that i finally get confirmed that there IS a bright tunnel that you walk trough when you die cause he told me and our family lotsof times.....he wanted to go there put his family pulled him back against his will.....and then he woke up.....

Believe it or not The doctors still think its a miracle...they where 100% sure he was dead!

I have a friend that owns a Yamaha, ATV dealership. Anyway, a few summers ago, before he opened his business, we were playing in his farm field with one of his ATVs, a Honda 400cc. I had too many drinks, and decided to go out for a spin around the field. It started raining about 30 mins before that, so the field was pretty slick. I went to make a right turn, onto another path, but was going too fast (approx 80km/h or 50mph), and missed the path. I was sliding with the machine in waist deep grass, when all of a sudden, I see a trailer, hidden within the grass. I hit the trailer, went airborn, and landed on a barb wire fence, with the ATV. When I opened my eyes, the ATV was on top of me, and tangled in the fence. I eventually lifted the machine off of me, pulled it from the fence, and got it started again, and went back to the campfire that my friends were at. Apparently, the motor on the ATV was off for a good 2-3 minutes, but I only remembered being on the ground for a couple seconds (I must have passed out). Good thing i was wearing a helmet i guess.

was walking from the baltimore convention center to my hotel at 3 am with the rest of the people i was with,when about 7 guys started following us,the lead guy got within arms distance of my backpack when he started demanding we give our money up,we ignored him..which didnt work as they started threatening us,about a minute later we were running down the streets of baltimore,we found a copy shop where a few people were getting ready to go home,and got through the door,and waited it out till they left,didnt seem so vast at the time because of the extreme adrenaline rush, but there are so many things that could have taken place........

Nearly been involved in about 5 car crashes, Had Knives pulled on me on two occasions, and had brick thrown at my head which luckly only cracked my head open but the amount of blood I lost was horrendous.

The Most Notable brushes I think I've had have always involved mobs of people. It happened on the way back from College when I was 17 it happened, there was a shortcut to get home but it involved going through quite a nasty council estate well actually I don't think I can call it that I would call it a ghetto, my house was about two miles away across the other side of a huge park, the area where I live has got a lot of Jamicans, some Italians who live in quite big communities I come from quite a big area, and the northern part of my area on the other side of the park near this estate is quite well known for people getting beaten up and mugged the trouble makers keep in that area, anyway one day me and my friend Frank used the shortcut, we walked past probably about 5 burnt out cars, husbands and wives praticially having punch ups, smashed up houses, people walking along with faces that looked like they'd had them caved in, we would of been walking for about 15 minutes when we get to these burnt out 5 story flats which are totally deserted and boarded up, you can see all the foil from we're herion addicts had hanged out, we get to the edge of a block then from out of nowhere this mob of probably I would say 25 lads appear from around the corner, their aged from about a year older then us to about 23, I notice some of them and put names to faces and think 'fuck theis lot have got big reputations for causing trouble' we countinue along, and this lad runs over to my mate and says 'What the fuck are you looking at you fucking ****' and countinues on and on getting more agressive, he suddenely jumps up and headbutts my mate, who punches him back this mob justs charges over, I used to carry a knife back then so I've got it ready to slash some ******s face up, either way we would lose and I was expecting not live cos this lot would beat us down and not stop, there all shouting and running across, and would of been about 5 metres from us and closing in, then suddenely this black lad who was with them jumps in their path and shouts 'oi its not fucking worth it, look their just probably walking home, they haven't done nothing' we then countinued on our way as quickly as possible, we ran for a while, looking back occasionally to see if we were getting tailed which I think is bad idea to look back but we did, and we made out alive, but if that lad hadn't of been there I reckon we would of got mobbed, there was massive bricks, and concreate slabs dotted around this area, planks of woods, and this lot probably had knives on them, and two or three of them probably had a gun on them, all I know is I'm never going to that area again.

I've got loads of other brushes with death like that, when were younger we used to piss people off for fun and get chased, I'm suprised I'm still alive sometimes

just take my advice and dont eat shrooms and lock yourself in a dark room that you cant get out of or you might end up paralyzed on the floor in the fetal position... n/k. somehow i just woke up out of the trip but that was the last thing i remember and of course i woke up right in that same spot too, ha-ha, and i had to got to work i like 3 hours too, fun-fun-fun
and its not fun getting hi-jacked at gunpoint either,

i was jay walking against a red on a big street at around 10pm and i was walking with some dude I just met at the street corner who asked me for a smoke, we start crossing and continue talking about shit, i have my eyes looking at him to size him up after one statement he made, next thing I know he yells "DUDE CHILL" (he was some wigger, heh) and I stop and look up in time to see a car speed past a foot in front of me no horn or nothing, guess he didn't see me in my black coat.i don't know how i didn't hear it coming, i was too preoccupied with what the guy was saying and wanting to see if i knew the guy from somewhere. after we ran to the other side of the street, it turned out i didn't know him, i gave him my pack of cigarettes, said thanks and went to sit down, he walked off shaking his head in disbelief.the rush you get after knowing you coulda just been demolished by a car is intense.

I used to play for a footy team, and we once went to Luton for a big 5-aside footy tournament. We got through the qualifying stage and it turned out it was gonna be an hour till our next game. There was a massive fairground nearby so i went for a stroll with my mate. When we got there, he need to use the toilet so off he went, while i waited outside. I turned round and this guy came up to me and tried to grab my Minidisc player. I was so suprised but managed to dodge him. Then this other guy came up with a bottle and tried to hit me with it. I started running, and they both chased me. I ran round the back of the toilets building and thank FUCK 4 of my team mates were round the back (smoking pot, hehe) anywyz, one of my team mates wh is a complete psycho went skitz, and he laid this guy out that tried to bottle me with just one punch. All was ok in the end (well for me anyway) but i still shit it when that bottle came inches away from my head.

Not really life threatening but still would of hurt. Im not the hardest of people

Oh yea, i once got threatened with a knife for sticking up for my mate, but thats another story for another time

Yeah lucky thing is my areas so big that their miles away, and they usually stick to their area, because I live near a main part of town with loads of pubs and bars. but I will never go through that area again.
