Import everything using Apple Lossloss Encoding.. Saves space, without compromising any quality. Or do like me an import everything as Aiff.

Hey Robert, Thanks. Back a home now and back on my own Mac where I can study up. I was at a house with a PC which is where I got default being AAC. That's what it was on theirs. Anyways, my default looks like it's set to mp3 but reading up now on the differences in encoding,sample rate, sample size. Thanks again Happy holidays.
