OK, what is the USB/midi cable (midi interface) you mention?

....and there, I think lies your problem. Does it have a driver listed to help identify it? Can you change the latency on it to a greater (i.e. longer) setting? if so, try differnt buffer sizes and see if that makes a difference. Otherwise borrow, one from someone else and see if that works.

nope.. the box it came with says... should work as plug and play on your computer..

Hmm, I'm not so sure that it's the problem...I mean, if it's hooked up and you can send MIDI information to it (notes) and hear it play back...then it also works the other way, so you can assign it to a VST instrument and play it.. oh wait, it's not a keyboard. Do you have another hardware synth that has a keyboard, so you can test that the MIDI in and out are both working?

Have you also posted the question on the Vengeance forums, or searched through those forums? I assume there would be plenty of information there on loading Manuel's Virus soundsets.

and yeah everything seems to be working fine. i can control vsts with it...

i dont have another hardware synth hooked up. this is the only one.
id try manuel's forum but he seems like a "dont waste my time" character (feels like it from his notes from his website) and since this was a free soundbank taken from access' site i doubt hed be interested in wasting his time troublshooting a "noob"....

i mean if this works out id be very eager to purchase incubation 3 but meh... id unno if manuel knows that.

to be honest i cant figure it out for the life of me. and i have intermediate knowledge about studio setups and synthesis....

im speculating ist the midi cable.. since it was a cheap one on ebay (no name knockoff)... i guess ill take my synth to my buddies house and plug direct midi in and out to his external sound card (im sure it would work).. if it does then great. cable is shit.
if it doesnt... well then im back to square one...

Yeah, I can't suggest anything else. Hopefully it works at your friend's place.

(When I suggested the Vengeance forums, I meant the user forums, which should have a lot of historical content about loading up Vengeance soundsets, from the users themselves - I didn't mean asking Manuel directly)
