Hmm well depends how you filter. By asset value. Firms started by Scots are at 4 (HSBC), 6 (RBS), 13 (ABN is owned by RBS - basically now) and 17.

As was Forbes magazine... not bad for a tiny country of 5 million eh?

EDIT: Also would love to see the effect of the sub prime and associated credit crunch has had also. NRK bombing in the UK will have bolstered the likes of RBS, HSBC and HBOS too.

Think it was at least a few billion in the case of RBS alone (people/companies taking it out of them and into the big guns).
