A sample of one of the tunes on his next single "Spectrum" can be found here:

I really love it. Thoughts anyone?

That's actually not too shabby.. sounds very Leama & Moor influenced.

The other tracks on there from the upcoming album sound rather poor though.

Solarstone is alive and well: please see the full quote below!

"Due to an inevitable growing difference in musical taste and direction, Rich & Andy part company, but Rich retains the Solarstone name as Andy now prefers a more house-based sound. However Rich & Andy continue to enjoy running Deepblue together which continues to grow - Rich now concentrating on A&R, and Andy focusing on the design and business side of the label.

Rich begins work on the debut Solarstone full length Artist album, entitled 'Rain Stars Eternal' which is scheduled for release in April 2008. Dj dates in Finland, Tokyo, Taipei, Jersey, Ireland and a short tour of America ensue to promote the single 'Late Summer Fields' (a collaboration with Alucard featuring Rich in writer, producer and vocalist roles). The 3rd Young Parisians single 'Obsession' is released on Tokyo Recordings. A collaboration with Finnish Dj Orkidea produces a track entitled 'Slowmotion'.

Rich launches another new label 'insatiable records' which kicks off with Steve Birch's 'Edge Of The Ocean'.

Reviews for the new single are brilliant: "...Late Summer Fields could be the one to apply serious pressure to the status of 'Seven Cities' .... Stunning - 5/5" DjMag.

Next single is an album sampler consisting of 'Spectrum' and 'Rain Stars Eternal', complete with Duderstadt and Agnelli & Nelson remixes."

All is well with the world....

Guys, I have to ask, why oh why did you have to ruin Seven Cities by putting a vocal over it? :-(

I'm curious; that vocal version of Seven Cities that you people are talking about, do you mean that Armin remix? That's the only one I know of that has vocals in it.

Umm, no? That's the exact same thing that has already been posted here. It says that, as a production duo, they've parted ways. I really don't see what you're getting at here. Yes, the "name" will still be used, but it wont be the actual Solarstone that everyone is used to.

I actually enjoyed Late Summer Fields. I didn't really like 'Like a Watefall' - too cheesy in my opinion.

True to say that their productions of late have been pretty ordinary. However, their djmixes are still pretty decent..
