Although this is what they say now, never underestimate the power of "political pressure" ($). I will not believe this to be the case until summer comes.
However, as I said before, I doubt I will go back to Ibiza if DC10 and Bora Bora closes. Those are the only 2 places that warranted the ridiculous cost of my Ibiza trip this past summer.
If you're really interested in what is happening in Ibiza politically, check out www.ibiza-spotlight.com . There are updates posted on the forum on a regular basis.

+1
I would add We Love Space to the list. When this was first talked about they were discussing not being allowed to open from 6AM to Noon. That would have been fine with me. Not starting the "daytime" parties until 6PM - not worth it.
The only thing clubbing wise which was worth the money was the daytime parties at the above 3 clubs, otherwise it was simply an grossly overpriced night out at a nightclub. There are other things to do there, but clubbing wise this would definetly play a role in my decision to go back.

Guess I'm a lightweight.
As for Ibiza, just going to the 'regular' club nights out at their 'super clubs' isn't enough? If not then alright, for me it is. It's freaking Ibiza, did it once to say I went, won't do it again.

A 6am-6pm ban on parties doesn't seem like a big deal, but it is a big deal when that is the time when the best parties are IMO.
Most of the club nights are just horrendously over-priced, better (ie not worth it) versions of what we're used to.

I think like 98.8% of anyone who's been to Ibiza would agree with this.
I too won't completely buy it until the summer actually comes coz in clubland, and
especially in a place like Ibiza, "political pressure" can't be underestimated

IMO The harder they clamp down on ANY kind of events the easier it is for the underground/hedonistic spirit of the island to slip through their fingers.

Another thing to keep in mind is that this new 6am-6pm ban, which is being heralded as protection for the island residents, conveniently shuts down 2 bars that they've been trying unsuccessfully to shut down for years: DC10 and Bora Bora.
The more I think about this, the more it dissapoints me. However, as some have pointed out before, people have been getting fucked on this island for hundreds and hundreds of years. The worst that this new government can do is create a blip in the centuries long of debauchery that is almost certain to continue after this government is gone.
