Wha exactly do you mean by that ?
Many artists tend to contact several labels at the same time. Then try to "negotiate" better income or royalty share. And they do it with every single release of theirs. How in god's name can a label build something up for an artist?? Just my 2 cents.

what labels do you recommend then?
I would recommend the labels that suit your needs as a person first and not the one with the highest royalty shares. And most importantly, the ones you want to keep in touch with, and who are loyal to you.
Many tend to forget some basic rules.
1°) Build it up for the years to come and not for the next 2 weeks.
2°) The faster you rise, the faster you fall.
3°) Be a student in music, and always judge yourself on your knowledge and not your success.

Yeah, agree with that.
If it were up to me, there should only be like 10 labels for trance, unfortunately there is like 1,000.
Many good thoughts here and I do agree with you that the best thing would be to find a really good label I like and stick with it. But it's not that easy the first time. The label I'm in touch with now is the only one that replied to me on this track. So it's either this or no release.. I just want a foot in the door..and I thought it might make it easier for me to catch the interest of some of the bigger labels when I got my next tune ready to go.
I can't say I'm overly excited about the label, but they seem good enough for me at this point. I had basically given up on this track anyway

A good label is a label that keeps its word on things, as remixes they say they are gonna make(!) ..release dates, and so on.
