Fuck! Sven & Richie in a room like Aria must have been awesome. Man, Montreal used to have such a great techno scene.

Toronto's techno scene right now on the other hand is thriving quite nicely. Hopefully we'll see parties like that again soon.

I skimmed through the set that Vermz gave us here, and i can't believe I'm saying this but it seems like Sven is losing the plot with age. Sounded pretty cheesy and downright weird from what I heard but i'll have to give it another more thorough listen. I also heard from good sources that his 8th season makes little sense.
I will always listen to the Sven that gave us his 5th and 6th seasons and the old Sven who destroyed dancefloors with headbanging techno but this new-age Sven doesn't seem to be to my liking.

I saw Sven for the first time at the Cocoon Closing in Ibiza in September. I ended up leaving before 6am (when it closed at 8:30am), because I found Sven's set very disjointed, somewhat cheesy and with too many builds. Although he played some monster tunes, I found his set had very little flow.

I kind of regret leaving so early because I didn't know the party was going to go on that long, but I will be giving him 2 more chances at Timewarp and at Cocoon does Amsterdam. I really want to see what the guy is about since everyone seems to like him so much.

give him a break, he probably can't even hear anymore haha
