To the Q at hand I think its mostly just a human perspective (rather than some complicated scientific anomaly with hormones and brains) people are having a bit of trouble coming to terms with in regards to cultural traditional gender roles and their occupation.
Personality wise I see most traits in people over time which both genders share, some dominate depending on how they think in their role in society and there is generally a socially accepted means of expressing their personality around others.
For example:
In some middle eastern countries where men are very dominant in society at all levels: influence, economically, politically/socially advantaged and legally. Its perfectly acceptable for men to kiss, hold hands and be openly affectionate, there's no social deviancy associated with it.
Ladies and gents doing that however are sometimes culturally frowned on for openly displaying affection, even if they're married.
Whereas somewhere in heavily westernised countries like England or the USA its roughly 50-50 on the socially able scale of what you're able to do as a man or woman, there is a cultural opposite where its generally only accepted for two women to display open affection without having a social stigma of deviancy attached to it.
And, its not uncommon for opposite genders to be able to display affection, even if they're not married!
So at some level we're all affected by the society in which we function and how it forms our personality, some people find comfort in the traditional, some have their personalities more comfortable with social deviancy at some greater or lesser extent as a way of displaying who they are.

usually a turnoff tho, for me, when a woman is abrasive, short, and to the point. |
haha, good!

Got a subjective paradox of ideas there that suit you when it suits you? And they say the ladies can't make up their mind...
