You're absolutely right. This proves that media can poison our knowledge, and obfuscate the truth.

This is why humans as a collective group, need to realize the message Dr Martin Luther King has left us. And come together for the first time ever, using the internet to excel our knowledge of life, and how humans as creatures have come to be.

why do you have such a reverence for the internet? there is now far more unsubstantiated nonsense circulated around the globe that at any time in our history. why is the internet so much better than traditional forms of research in regards to "excelling our knowledge of life"?

there's no doubting its usefulness, but given how much nonsense you've obviously swallowed i wouldn't be so fast to champion its unparalleled ability to disseminate information.

All you do is look at differences, and until you open your eyes to similarities in our world. I cannot talk to you with a level head, or without making me extremely angry of your ignorance.

Your sig just about sums up my point. Hope is the exact opposite of the denial of reality.

Peace.

disagreeing with you does not make one ignorant. you dont need to keep a level head with me, im a big boy, i won't cry.

but, thus far in the PDD people have tried to tie you down to your outlandish statements and (in the end) your only response is to quote a bunch of stuff most of us heard well before you came across them.

your arguments are empty platitudes and catch phrases and you don't even attempt to propel them forward into anything resembling real discussion.

If you don't understand your sig, refrain from abiding by it.

of course i understand my sig. do you know who said it? no, i didnt think so. thus you have no capacity to understand its context and meaning. but good try - again with your cute turns of phrase that attempt to hide the utter lack of meaning behind them.

Margaret Weis.

What she was trying to show you, is that is how it is currently, and thats the problem. She is telling you the truth of these times, as she sees it.

Hope IS CURRENTLY THE DENIAL OF REALITY. So you accept that?

"Hope never abandons you; you abandon it" Im sure if you wanted you could look that up.

completely wrong.

it means you should walk through life with your eyes open, without being fooled by hopes and dreams that arent real (i know this because raistlin clarifies the point when tanis asks him about it )

extend this to the real world, it means dont be fooled by religion, "spiritual" charlatans, or second-rate, unsubstantiated youtube videos it means approach all situations as a realist and a sceptic. keep an open mind as long as the evidence is good.

The beauty of the internet is that it isn't owned by anyone. It's a public domain and as long as it is, it'll remain the most open forum of traditional and liberal ideas.
