That is absolutely not true for quad cores, It all depends on your buffer size. If you set it to the proper 32 or 64, you will see NO DIFFERENCE between a dual core and a quad core (You may even get worse performance). It's only when you go above 128 that you can see a significant difference like (%20-30%). Steinberg is working on this and they might have to make changes to the ASIO specification to address the problem.
