Yeah, but for Video/3D imaging, nothing beats pentium 4, trust me... Athlon comes close, but a dual P4 2.2GHz system is just unbeatable. And price isn't much of an issue here either (not that I can afford $10,000 machine, but then again, I have enough dough to build a crazy ass system)...
Oh, for 3d imaging? then yeah, go with Dual P4's of course! And you'll also have to plunk out over a grand for a video card (if you're going to a professional rendering vid card).
I'm still looking around...from the looks of it I won't be upgrading but just getting a completely new PC

Hi
Well, the place I suggest is a place called NEtmaple computers. It is on College and Spadina (close to the vinyl shop whose name I have forgotten) I got one from them over a year ago and bought hardware from them. They are pretty good and trust worthy. Be careful with big names like MDG or DELL n stuff. Tehy usually rip u off. Whatever u do.. DO NOT GO TO ULTINET!!! But I suggest the area of College and spadian, all the stores close to the intersection there are good except for factory Direct. I hope I have been of help to you. LAter

I just went to Canada Computers on 343 College Street and got the following quote. I'm thinking of buying that system.

CPU: AMD 1900+ Retail(not OEM)
RAM: 2x256MB DDR PC-2100
Motherboard: MSI K7T266 PRO-2 w/Audio
Harddrive: Maxtor 40GB 7200RPM
Cd-Writer: LG 32x10x40
Floppy: Standard Panasonic
Case: ATX 9301K 300W Mid-Tower
Video Card - ATI Radeon 7000 DDR 32MB(I'm not playing games at all, so I think this should be enough)
Sound card - on board
Modem - Creative 56K Winmodem OEM (cheapest one)
LAN: AcerSOHO 10/100Mbps PCI

I'm not buying monitor, mouse or keyboard(already have these)
