I used to get it a lot, and then not for a real long time. But I just got it 2 days ago again. Weird stuff, that's for sure. Also try searching "fale awakenings". I used to get sleep paralysis by itself but for a while it was accompanied by these fale awakenings. I would "wake up" and get out of my bed, but it was like I was really drunk, or more like a weight was pushing me down (which is exactly what others have described, once I looked into it). Anyways, I'd stumble around in my room not being able to stand and then suddenly I'd be awake in my bed facing sleep paralysis. There was a time when that happened a coulple times a week... but for some reason everything all togher seems to have stopped.

Sleep paralysis is a condition characterized by temporary paralysis of the body shortly after waking up (known as hypnopompic paralysis) or, less often, shortly before falling asleep (known as hypnagogic paralysis).[1]

Physiologically, it is closely related to the paralysis that occurs as a natural part of REM (rapid eye movement) sleep, which is known as REM atonia. Sleep paralysis occurs when the brain awakes from a REM state, but the bodily paralysis persists. This leaves the person fully aware, but unable to move. In addition, the state may be accompanied by hypnagogic hallucinations.

More often than not, sleep paralysis is believed by the person affected by it to be no more than a dream.[citation needed] This explains many dream recountings which describe the person lying frozen and unable to move. The hallucinatory element to sleep paralysis makes it even more likely that someone will interpret the experience as a dream, since completely fanciful, or dream-like, objects may appear in the room alongside one's normal vision. Some scientists have proposed this condition as a theory for alien abductions and ghostly encounters.[

This happens to me from time to time. Wierd shit. Usually I can hear my radio alarm, but half my braqin thinks the music is part of a dream.

I've also been known to have entire conversations with myself while sitting up straight in bed. It used to freak the hell out of my ex.

I used to be like that a few years back, it's all about training your mind and body to get accustomed to waking up. Over the years I've developed my body with daily workout routines and a high protein & carb diet. I also drink around 3 protein shakes a day and take mega man multivitamins to get through the rough days. I'm not a coffee drinker at all because I've seen people become dependent on it and it's a shit source of energy, the crazy stories of people "crashing" on it also kept me away.

I drink only high quality shakes that contain whey & casein and also flaxseed oil. Protein shakes are not addicting so it's not possible to be addicted to them. During the summer I don't drink protein shakes and look elsewhere for my protein source such as scrambled eggs and cream cheese bagels for example.
