Alright I suck at reviews but here goes...
Left Tampa @ 5pm and met up with 3 others in Ft. Myers. Left there at midnight and off to Miami. Quick stop for some supplies in north Miami and we're inside Space @ 4am. Boris is laying down some nastiness as usual. Main room is looking and sounding sexy as ever. Crowd is medium which was nice compared to my last adventure to the main room for PvD.
Head up to the terrace @ 5:45 and to our surprise Desyn is on playing a Queen remix. He opens w/ some beautiful prog which is a nice change of pace from Boris' destruction downstairs. Then he starts laying down this tech house that is out of this world. I've never heard Desyn play this type of stuff in his recordings... granted we haven't heard a recorded set from him in months. He was playing slow @ maybe 128 BPM or less.
Anyways, 45 minutes into his set he as the terrace jumping! I don't even know the genre of shit he was playing... something like prog tech house... again, no clue... the point is it was all brilliant. He starts playing his classic Desyn sound towards the middle of the set. The whole 9 yards w/ the sick sax, violin, etc. I like to call it happy house (genre police beware). Then he throws down a Snoop Dogg remix just to show you he's still in charge. Finishes the set w/ more of this hard, driving, tech house. Maybe for whatever reason it just fit me last night, but these were the sickest tunes I have ever heard. I'm interested to see more reviews.
Closes w/ Nature Wakes - Wake Up The Sun (Andro Remix)
Almost forgot, mixing was FLAWLESS.
All in all, Desyn on the Space terrace was one of my top sets ever. 3 hours flew by and we slipped into a deep depression when we saw Boris walking up to the booth. Frankly I thought he'd play a bit longer.
Ended up staying until close @ 2:30pm... why I have no fucking clue. Boris was better this time than the last Friday I saw him. However, next to Desyn he is a rookie. Played tons of the same tracks as last time. It's that damn NY sound. When you hear it for 8 hours it just gets boring. Programming was non existent... his was on a mission to lay down bombs for 10+ hours. Fun for a while I guess.
Drove strait back to Tampa after dancing for 11 hours. Miserable ride to say the least. But here we are, there's my review, vids and pics to come ASAP.

Damn that would've been fun. I love it when Desyn gets it going into that much more traditional groovy/funky house. Few DJ's seem to use tracks like that anymore and it's a shame, because it's just wonderful stuff. No hidden, underlying agenda like the Prog House of now, it exists solely to get that booty shakin' on the floor. Love it!
Dan, if you happen to listen to Desyn's latest recorded set (Guest @ Connected Live from late August), Desyn really had changed his style up in that one. A lot of Techno & Tech-House throughout.
Seriously, ending with Nature Wakes - Wake Up The Sun (Andro Mix)?! That track is un-fuggin'-believable. I bet it tore that dance-floor a new ass-hole. Now Desyn just needs to get off his duff and make Symphonic-Records release that track (I've been waiting too long, dammit).
Quick question for you, did you not see all of Desyn's set? You said you arrived on the Terrace and he was already spinning. Or did I misinterporate what you wrote?
