maybe I am wrong here, but it sounds like they are trying to go for a rock/hip hop feel, more like The Warfield and The Fillmore? booking any of those above artists would be the same as booking any other edm dj..Other than the Chems or Daft Punk I would be suprised if any of those other acts could fill 1015 on a Friday night. I hope I am wrong though, because seeing Trentemoller and Booka Shade in 1015's main room would be sick

+1!!!! even on a saturday for those acts

anyway i hope saturday stays the same (EDM) and fridays work out a bit better than the current fridays which are pretty random and whack...

and while the address wont likely change, 1015 folsom, i hope the name doesnt either

Fridays - rock 'n' roll, rap, alternative etc.
Saturdays - EDM, EDM live acts.

Yes, I would like to see more EDM live acts. Something I've been hoping for lately. However, a live act centric line up is gonna kill the dancability of the place. 1015 is hands down the best venue in the city for dancing. I would love to see more live EDM acts but doesn't nessecarily mean I can dance to them.

If this mentality spills over to sat nights I'm outta there. Truth is, eventhough the place has a rep, it's still one of the most peaceful venues in the city. Start attracting a bunch of Hip Hop thug wannabes and it's over. Hey here's a thought......"Let's fix the reputation by having a Too short concert." Get fuckin real.

What it really comes down to is......edge out the pill-poppin, water drinkers and bring in the demographics that consume copious amounts of liquor. soooo, it's not likely that the push towards live acts includes EDM live acts. It sounds like a demograpic/revenue change rather than a talent change.

Can you say, "this is some fucked up news" boys and girls?

And screw Ruby skye! There's more room to dance at freakin Bambuddha Lounge.
