2000 could also be classed as a remake & 2001/02 both borrowed heavily from older tunes

now i recall, the top tunes of all time poll that system-j hosted a while back had remakes placed at #1 & #2..

Heh, it was Xpander and For An Angel, wasn't it? I was really dissapointed with that poll, because it was just epic trance as far as the eye could see. Perhaps we'd see more variation three or four years on, but I fear the worst.

i thought it was xpander & cafe del mar, i could be wrong though.. whether or not xpander is a remake depends on who you ask though i guess, although cafe del mar's '98 remake was undoubtedly where its notoriety stemmed from. i guess the same could be said in the case of for an angel too

is that where trance is in the year 2008? Cosmic Gate remixing a Vincent de Moor track? I mean, I loved both of these producers when I was a noob, and still dig their older stuff, but c'mon

It's not a bad attempt to bring an epic trance classic into the year 2008 I guess, probably great in the club, yada yada yada, but not TOTY
