bringing this thread back from the dead - just so i dont make a new one.

Well my two week vacation in Montreal is over. It was probably some of the most fun 2 weeks of my life. Started off with an awesome night in Tribe to see Nic. Met a lot of you guys and had an amazing time. Thanks for the warm welcome again!
After that I got to sightsee all the usuals (Old Montreal, Quebec City, etc...etc).
I gotta say these things:
1) love love love love the metro system
2) i am amazed at people's driving skills (from a spectator viewpoint - we'll see if this still stands when i'm driver) - especially in the snow. If you've ever seen Victoria in the snow, you'd understand why this amazes me
3) hate the fact that you can't turn right on a red light, but i am sure there is some sort of funny method to this madness
4) holy shopping central - wtf. Do they WANT people to go broke? I sure did.
5) I was surprised at people's friendliness. Everyone warned me that big city= bitchy people. This may be true in the metro and in malls, when everyone has somewhere to go, etc. but in general people are very friendly and helpful! (except for customer service).

Anyway... for those who care - that's my two cents on my quick trip there. I even found some condos that I want to look at when I come back. Now I just need to find a good realtor See you all back in 2 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
