FUCK OFF.

take your bullshit "poke holes in a theory without postulating anything even remotely plausible in its place" and bury it deep in your holy tabernacle.

Wait, are you serious? Have you ever read anything about evolution?

What about the holes in the Bible's version?

Oh noes!

I mean seriously. Science has proven it completely, theres nothing to argue, unless you just like being wrong.

the curse words were to make things simpler for you. coz anyone that thinks there are "holes" in evolution is a fucking simpleton.

Well it's like, your talking about holes in scientific theory and your alternative is the fucking Garden of Eden with some bitch eating a fruit from the wrong tree with a talking snake in it?

Bacteria has been around for billions of years so thats 1,000 million years.

Lets say you get a mutation every 10 years taht would amount to approximatley 100,000,000 mutations.

Keep in mind that there are things called hox genes in which scientists have proven that a single mutation in a fly would display 4 wings instead of 2. That means 1 mutation shows a huge display in change and could be relevant enough to cause a speciation event (the animal can no longer breed with another animal of its type [in simple terms anyways]).

So its not so far fetched.

540 million years ago we had every type of phyla in existence (insects vertibrates, sea invertibrates, land invertibrates etc.) So from there animal divcrsity flourished and eventually we got to where we are now.

The reason why i talk about bacteria evolving is that it has a short generation time and its visible. Generation time for humans is at least 20 years. You need a siginificant number of generations to view some sort of evolution. An example of an evolutionary process would be isolating a species of animal for several generations and then reintroducing them to eachother. Chances are that they will choose to not mate with eachother. Eventually over time they will not be able to make fertile offspring if forced to mate. An example of this would be a horse and a donkey. Or a tiger and a lion.

Of course there are holes in evolution. we only have a fossil record for an extremely small amount of species that have ever existed on this planet. Out of 500,000,000 species 490,000,000 are extinct. So we dont have a good representation of what a phylogeny would look like from bacteria to vertebrate.

convergent evolution sometimes displays wierd anomalies. For example. The gene for blindness is on the same chromosome of a fly as it is for a human. Since our eyes have evolved independently (flies are protostomes and humans are deutorostomes) what are the chances that a gene for blindness would occur on our same chromosomes? Thats more of a fluke.

But again, evolution has only so many mechanisms, it repeats itself all to often as we see similar traits over and over again.

If life did cease to exist on this planet and then started up again, it would be very likely that the organisms would be very similar.

Funny isnt it?

Evolution is the best and most explanatory theory we have right now and it does make alot of sense. It would be very ignorant to just look it over. It is actually a science now and plays a significant role in genetics, pharmacology and chemistry.
