Fatal Frame. Based on true events and scarey as hell. Play it in the dark. The Resident Evil series kicks ass also.

Undying is a gem of a game, but unfortunately not many people know about it...i think it's on the top of gamespot and ign's lists as the best of the underdog category for 2001??? i dunno...it's been around for awhile.
