You're fooling yourself if you think that most major clubs level off at only 100dB...

I actually enjoy the music more with these earplugs in than I do without (the etymotics that is, not cheap foamies). The volume is still cranked and has all the oomph, but the mids and highs are not screaming loud, and I have no ringing at all after the party.

If u use the cheap foam earplugs then its not fun at all cause it just blocks all the noise and u dont hear squad. but if u get a decent pair or custom made u still be able to hear clear just not as loud.

I remember one night I came home from clubbing and my ears were ringing like crazy, i went to sleep and when i woke 5 hours later the ringing was not gone. I got so worried dude ! thats when i decided to use earplugs especially @ Space

Precisely. With my plugs in the music is actually quite comfortable, and NEVER too loud.
