This post made me think: "are supposed 'negative' people more comfortable with their station and position in life, and inherently happier?"
I'm rather cynical, which makes me a realist with my feet firmly on the ground, whereas I see lots of people who insist on constantly "trying to find happiness" and tend to keep disappointing themselves, even if their life is going great. If they get knocked down slightly, it hurts them badly, whereas the cynic will say "fuck it" and keep going.
I think cynics and negative people are inherently "happier" despite outward appearances. Discuss.
