How did I know the first response to negativity from a self-appraised happy man would be to label?

Your aspirations will crumble.

You will come to realize that your carefree existence is only the result of want for ignorance - or maybe you will never even reach this level of awareness at all.

Things could be worse? How so? You could be in a part of the world where it is necessary to occupy your existence with survival? Oh fucking no. How terrible life has to be when you must fight. The stress of such a notion is smothering me.

This post made me think: "are supposed 'negative' people more comfortable with their station and position in life, and inherently happier?"

I'm rather cynical, which makes me a realist with my feet firmly on the ground, whereas I see lots of people who insist on constantly "trying to find happiness" and tend to keep disappointing themselves, even if their life is going great. If they get knocked down slightly, it hurts them badly, whereas the cynic will say "fuck it" and keep going.

I think cynics and negative people are inherently "happier" despite outward appearances. Discuss.
