Because that was the satellite that commanded the destruction of the twin towers, shot president Kennedy, and even broadcasted that fake video of those American astronauts landing on the moon.

Oh, it also fathered three children. Among them, Tom Cruise. It had to be destroyed.

I can't really defend the shakiness of the first shot, but I could see it being tricky to clearly film a rocket going extremely fast with a hand-held camera.

However, that doesn't mean that the "clarity" of the second shot means it's fake. Its not very hard to smoothly track a satellite with a telescope. People do it all the time, and I'm sure that the pentagon would be able to film through a telescope with relative ease.

Well they certainly didn't shoot it from the ship ( boat ) itself. It is impossible anyway to get to get a hand held steady shot when zooming towards stratospheric heights

Filming it from a telescope means, you have to preset the shot, aka give in advance the exact coordinates of the interception
