BTW, I'm going to guess this happened in Mississauga and your vehicle was towed to Lyons' Autobody.... if that is the case then it's likely your insurer wants to move it from there to another location because Lyons' charges $150 per day for storing your vehicle (most other body shops charge 0-$25). If you refuse to move the vehicle you may be liable for the additional storage costs (this is part of the statutory condition in your policy to mitigate your loss).

ohhh god theyre the WORST!

its important if it wasnt your fault to get the other guys insurance cus his insurance should be paying for it!!! if you let your insurance pay for it then it will definitly go up a lot next time you renew it... it will still go up cus you were in an accident but less because they didnt have to pay for your vehicle...

i got a honda fit && i looooove it. it looks small but its actually huuuge. i moved all my furniture in it when i moved (xept my bed) cus the seats fold all the way down. the fits are awesome. i payed round 23,000 for a new one.

I cleared it.

Yeah, Lyons is terrible because they have the Peel Police towing contract. They jack up the storage rates but then offer to waive them if you get your car fixed there... it's their way of coercing people into giving them work.

Yeah I was stuck around that area for a good 20 min cause the police closed off that part of hurontario, then I saw a car spun out like 100 meters in front of me while attempting to do a right turn, he hit the curb and I had to maneuver around him.

This is simply not possible in the province of Ontario. The way No-Fault insurance works is that each person claims from their own insurance company. For not-at-fault persons, their damage is paid under a coverage called Direct Compensation (part of your liability coverage), which normally carries no deductible (you can choose to carry a deductible but usually commercial vehicles are the only ones that do).

Incorrect. Loses paid under Direct Compensation do not effect your insurance rate... additionally, the amount paid for a claim does not effect insurance rates. The part of your rate that is dependant on your claims history is the Risk Rating... this is adjusted based on the number of at-fault accidents you have, non-at-fault accidents do not effect this at all.

huh, didn't know about Lyons. I got rear-ended last October, and was towed there. Wasn't my fault, so nothing came out of my pocket personally.
