Quick ZraW, while ANF isn't looking, make a few baseless comparissons between Armin and Magda.

It's all fairly depressing IMO. I used to be a big fan of the Tiesto, Armin, etc back in early 2000s, but for pretty much all of the reason in Boogerd's post, I now couldn't care less. There's just no freshness or innovation in their sets these days, just the same stale sound, 30 second mixes, and absolutely no boundary pushing.

IMO of course! There's still some good trance out there, it just doesn't seem to be played by the big jocks anymore (SvD notwithstanding, but his style is nothing remotely similar to Tiesto/Armin)

Fact is, he's a trance pioneer, at least for north america

THAT right there is by far the stupidest thing I have ever read on this board.

1) we don't bash people cuz they're successful, we bash them cuz they don't cater to our own personal tastes no seriously, he's successful in terms of his Dutch bank account growing and his shoeline launch for sure but in any other sense of the term, he fails. he is a sheer sell-out.

2) trance pioneer my white german arse. if you're gonna talk about pioneers, mention PVD at least. tiesto didn't start a trend/genre of music, PVD did. and tiesto exploded in Europe waaaaaaaaaaay before he was even thought of here in North America. and i don't think he's pioneering shit right now in North America. and if you really were up on your shit, you'd know that he plays HOUSE now! Not good house, but electro, synthy, farty, commerical, crowd-pulling house, and he pitches up the track to 132bpm from the tune's original 124bpm. how that could possibly sound good, i don't know. it doesn't!!! he went to shit a looooong time ago. i've never even seen him live, and i'd attend an event of his if i was paid to go (or got something out of it aside from a headache), not the other way around.

keep the tiestor in holland please. no need for him here. all we'll get is 5000 CEGEP girls wearing tiesto clothing/shoes and screaming their heads off, orgasming in their pants cuz they caught a glimpse of him...but in reality, it was the E that did it

puuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure GARBAGE.

He is a simple, one-dimensional, ABC DJ who just plays songs back-to-back. On the DJ pantheon, he is about one notch above the mobile DJ at the last wedding you attended.

If you think he is a good DJ, then you know very little about DJing, and even less about music.

The reason why people hate Tiesto is because, as a bad DJ, he is very good at marketing the illusion that he is a good DJ to ignorant people who don't know any better, like you.

And that makes the rest of us sad. Because you're actually stupid enough to fall for his bullshit.

We want you to stop being stupid, and start liking good music.

The end.

did you miss me guays?!
You can't have TA without Drama. Its all fucking event threads now lol.
