Thanks for all of your help guys...hopefully once Summer rolls around I'll have less stuff to do and therefore be happier.

Having a lot of shit going on while trying to have a social life is really hard and I guess I just have to learn how to do it over time.

I'm definitely feeling you, remembering how much I stress I was put through in highschool, and it took away from even the most fun things I did with my friends, unless it was during break, and I didnt have work to worry about. i think a big probelm in the American school system is that we spend the most time inside a classroom, and we have the most homework. The way it works in elsewhere is exams are much less frequent, there is less busy work, just a couple of HUGE exams during the course. I think this is best.
I go to the University of Illinois, and I have to say college it MUCH LESS stressful than highschool. In highschool, I had to socialize and learn at the same place, whereas in college, I separate the two completely. I go to class max 3 hours a day, which is normal load(remember sitting on your ass for eight hours straight in highschool?!). I have the rest of the day to have a good time with my friends, and balance out time to study. I have way less busy work, I actually enjoy what I am studying and feel like work is also fun, I enjoy going out and travelling much more...
all in all, you should look forward to college. Life is completely different, and you'll learn to deal with stress by realizing tht a lot of things are not worth stressing over.

cheers
Ilina

take care

Wow...that gives me hope for college that I won't go completely crazy. American HS is shit though, I remember when I went to Germany and saw that high schoolers have soooo much less homework and tests and therefore more time to socialize. I do know that school is worse in Japan, I think they have the toughest schooling in the world...sumthing like 5hrs of HW a night.

one word bro. Alcohol. It was the missing piece that made the puzzle of my life a wonderful picture. Sad? Go into your room and drink alcohol and listen to music. Some people say it isnt cool to drink by yourself. Those people are called "not alcoholics". ha! small joke. but seriously folks, as long as maybe once a month you drink with other people, its fine to drink by yourself every day. Now the key to this is having a freezer cup. This cup has water in it that freezes and keeps beer after beer cold and frosty. Definitely a must. Thats about all you need. Beer and music. Some people are like "alcohol is a depressant!" and such nonsense. Its all mental. you just gotta think "If I drink ill be happy" and then you will be. A minor side effect will be that you will soon NEED alcohol to be happy, but whats wrong with having to drink beer for the rest of your life? And if you master the art of telling girls "Just one more beer...for me?" your girlfriend problems will be gone! It works! just give them puppy dog eyes!

also...highscool was pathetic. all you have to do is half of the homework and ace all the tests...not hard at all. Dont sweat it that much. It sucks to do because you hate the subjects and they are taught by boring pathetic people. College has cool subjects that are taught by weird scary people. So you are interested. I partied for my four years of highschool and I was a lot happier than the poor shmucks I saw toting around 80 lb backpacks and had looked like they were developing hernias. And a sidenote because a lot of people look into this field for jobs (Sothis is gonna hate me) but if you are doing computers... 4 years of job experience is worth more than 8 years of training. I took MCSE (yeah yeah EVERYONE has it) and got a job as a Network Admin for a 200 employee company. The time I spent there made me realize that stuff you learn from books means nothing. The real thing they are looking for is dealing with morons who cant use computers and are constantly finding new and revolutionary ways to mess them up. When you walk into a room with an exec being paid 300 grand a year and he tells you his computer is broken and you look down and it isnt turned on...nod and smile. Thats what employers are looking for. Coding is a little different but still you want to be able to walk in and show them the programs youve done in the last year or so and say "ive been coding for 4 years" and stuff... (I get to talk to many industry people because we own a high tech consulting firm). So IF you are going into computers...dont even worry about highschool lol! You dont need to go to college. and the only companies that will ever require a degree for advancement are IBM and microsoft and who wants to work up the corporate ladders THERE =P

uhm. yeah. Also dont think. (see my previous post if you need help with not Thinking) Thinking F****s you up and makes you realize what a sap you are. Everyones a sap in their own minds. So dont let your mind get out!

Dude, how is being dependent on something such as alcohol only a minor thing. I would drink by myself but I would seriously feel like an alcoholic. And are you saying to give girls beer and then they'll like you? Ah, UR Crazy I can only see those things creating even more problems.

calling being dependant on alcohol to be happy "minor" was a joke lol. The whole thing was 2 parts false and 1 part true. Party more alcohol at low levels is a vasodilator and that means your musccles and skin loosen up at the capillary level and you feel more relaxed. and at low levels its known to increase cognitive functioning because of the increased blood flow to the brain I did a 30 page reasearch paper on this for my neuroscience class is why Im sayin hehe. Dude and that girl thing works... ok they wont be your girlfriends probably...youll probably have to marry them after what happens! haha small joke again. nah im just joking with you. Girls are just fun to get drunk. Some of em get frisky though so watch out

Hehe...I def know what you mean about girls getting frisky. The thing is that I try as hard as I can to never use drugs or alcohol to feel better just because I'm down. I feel this would eventually lead into addiction which is something that could easily ruin your life. Alcohol and drugs are for partying and having a good time. If you go out and get drunk only because you are pissed off or depressed it shows you can't find happiness any other way and therefore will use alcohol again and again to feel happy. Although if it is only used occassionally to party...alchohol can be a great thing, yes.

I wouldn't hold too much praise on alcohol though...it's very bad for you even though it makes you happy and lets you get girls. Plus, getting really wasted and ending up sleeping w/ girls is only to create more problems and get you STDs

Hehe...doesn't matter (I'm too lazy). The one from Germany is hotter but she's well...in Germany and has a boyfriend. The one here in America is pretty nice but doesn't look like it's going to work out with her either. Soooo, time to start looking elsewhere I guess

actually.... studies show that people who abstain from alcohol are at two times the risk for heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and about 15 other major diseases than moderate drinkers. Moderate drinking is defined as a 2 beers a day for 4 out of the 7 days of the week. Or a glass of wine. Wine is better because it also has tannins which are good for you. People who drink in excess of course are 6 times more likely to die than anyone but thats constant binge drinking. Like I said I did a 30 page report for neuro-science and alcohols affect on the brain and body... got an A too! ... doctors dont reccommend drinking for health purposes but the studies definitely indicate that people who DO drink and drink moderately are healthier in many respects.

and yes yes the whole dependency issue and getting girls drunk and having sex with them is a joke ...except for the drinking to be happy and getting girls drunk and having sex with them parts. those are serious
