first off.. its more like once a marine always a marine... for Soldiers its more like yeah i was a Soldier boy but thank god I'm not anymore...
i wouldnt say flashbacks per-se but i do think about my time in the Army a lot.. like a lot a lot.. many times a day...

yes.. i personally did not throw one but i was within 5m of one used.. it was in training and my own team dude threw it too early and i was not ready for it.. it was in teh woods and dark so when it flashed i was totally blind from the flash... so i then was supposed to run out from our hiding point and "attack" our opponent (my classmates)... i was that dumbfuck bumbling idiot stumbling about not knowing where anything was yet trying to "attack" them... great learning experience... timing and communication is vital
