i think it's cool, but i don't think it's the wow everyone is thinking. It is a great first step towards other things however, like deconstructing entire songs to sample for mixing, remixes like has been talked about many times before...

hah yeah i probably won't get it, its more of a 'holy shit, thats possible?' kinda thing. and granted, its only meant for single instrument tracks, not whole songs

This is totally what I need. This saves days of work from getting separate vocals from producers/artists after they give me a capellas where one (or a billion) notes are out of place in a harmony and I can't change one without messing up the others.
Kudos to Melodyne. I hope I can upgrade from the one I have. Otherwise I'm fucked for spending a thousand dollars on this shit last year.
