In my opinion, it all depends on your personality and how you are feeling at the moment. Im really into agressive club bangers...huge breakdowns, hard and agressive basslines with raw synths...However, that isnt typically what I produce all the time. Sometimes im feeling pensive & down, and that reflects on my music. The other day I made a track that I thought I would never in my life produce...something veeeeeeery slow, ambient, chill, mellow and deep (123 bpm's)....just make music on how you feel at the moment...dont try to push a sound, rather create what your feeling..I hope that made sense

its more important that you finnish what you start imo.
You can have a high rate of production AND spend a lot of time on goofing off if you just finnish what you start.
