I can't believe I missed this, as I had been wanting to see Justice live for a while now.

Shame it was a Myspace concert, and shame that this was on a Monday.

Looks like it was pretty packed from the video, how packed was it from your POV?

You did raise an interesting point with musical styles converging, which results in different crowds showing up. I recall when Prodigy came to Toronto, that there was a hugely varied crowd there for the show. Same thing for Daft Punk last year. Such huge acts I think draw a huge variety of people.

To a lesser extent, I've seen this at raves where you might see clubbers, candy kids, and metal heads all in the same crowd.

And rightly so...cause if you took everything into condsideration (time and day of week, etc.), it was a very unique scene (and something I'll recall for quite some time).

In terms of the *type* of people that were in attendance...there were freaks, geeks, nerds, jocks, metal dudes and of course lots of EDM fans. But when it comes down to it, they were simply there to rock hard and party out to the sounds of 2008. It's great, and I hope it doesn't die down any time soon.

And for the various styles of music colliding, that's been happening for a number of years now, but over the past year or so has it become more *visible* to the ear.

More than ever you're seeing crossovers of not just one or two genres, but elements of SEVERAL genres in one track that creates this overall sound that makes you wonder what the hell is goin on! (but in a good way, lol). One producer who's productions have stood out for me over the past year or so is Kissy Sell Out (UK). Some of the funnest, most interesting dance music I've heard in YEARS.

Change is good

This was a Myspace event.... don't believe Rogers had anything to do with this.

Rogers had a free show the following night I think.
