Anyhow, if you listened might have noticed that I used rather relaxed transitions...was focusing on just making a mix that was easy to listen to and not overpowering. Dunno if I did a good job in that area, though, hehe...
And I call the mix the YoYo effect because it's a bit all over the place...

ok available for download ....
Just please excuse the rough EQs if you have an ear for it...people who don't might not even notice the areas I am largely talking about! Had to forget my earphones and forced to use some old Sony headphones (a model no DJ would touch) at work....now I truly appreciate my Ultrasone DJ1s and other high quality earphones...makes such a difference!
And note the name of the mix... The Yoyo Effect...there's a reason!

hi everyone. I can't express how important it is to me if ou listen to the whole mix and give honest feedback. Just remember the EQs are a bit off and the transitions are rather laid back as tried to make the mixing mellow considering the tpe of music you hear most of te time on friskyRadio.
I've gotten a bit of feedback...but all on the last hour (as the all tuned in after ASOT).....but surprising, it's all been better than I expected (and these are people who have been honestly critical with the other stuff I've done).
No rush to do it, just want to make sure everyone knows. I'm all ears on opinions as I want to take all the feedback I can to better myself...not gonna drastically improve in any area overnight, but I at least want people to notice progression made over time. Nothing will go in one ear and out the other, even if I respond and try to explain why it might've happened....I just get dumb and do that sometimes! It doesn't matter how good I think I am if you all see major flaws....confidence is important, but being too confident about yourself usually brings on ignorance...gotta take the feedback from people you know and trust to give you an honest opinion.
An example of what I want feedback on is the structure/programming and it's flow. It's not a set that has a constant build up, but goes goes up-and-down a couple times (hence it the name of the mix!)....question is, is the flow killed with how it's done...
I just want to make myself better. It's eas to sit back and be a critic of everthing but when it comes to walking-the-walk...it's a whole different ballgame and you find it's not as easy as you might have thought...and being the one who did the mix, my subconscious is already jaded to thinking it's better than it probably is....although after listening to my Ten15 set a bunch of times, WTF was I thinking with the first 40-45 minutes. A couple of those tracks...gah...total car music and not club music lol.
