edit: it only hurts worse when i look down, when i look up there is no pain. |
Ok sounds the same as my problem - my back pain worsens when I have to bend over (like getting out of a humvee or ducking thru a narrow door). Its most likely NOT a pinched nerve, because certain movemenets - eg, breathing and moving the head - aggravate the pain, and, you say it does not radiate outwards, but stays centered on the spine, so this sounds liek classic skeletal muscular pain. If it was nerve related pain, you would more than likely feel numbness or tinglin in the limbs, and the pain would radiate into your limbs. So still see a doc before this gets really bad. Don't do what I did and keep ignoring it ok? I had my medic give me torridol just so I could do my job but eventually I couldn't take the pain. Don't ignore pain or it will get progressively worse. See a doc bro.
EDIT
Heres what my medic says
"Pain is your body saying HEY JACKASS!!! STOP DOING STUPID SHIT AND SEE A DOC!!!"
