Never in my life have my Diskmasters ever skipped, even at 1.5 grams. And atleast they dont break your tonearm like the ortofons. and are much cheaper. Now, i dont know about sound quality because I havnt directly compared the two.

I know it doesnt break them, but they do tend to mess up the prongs connecting it
