Awesome first tune.
The Rivington reminds me so much of Zocalo. Why is that?
Love the tracklist, but programming seems a bit awkward. It's hard trying to find a right balance between prog trance and prog house sometimes, esp at the beginning I thought you were going to play more techy uplifting prog with Silverlake Pills, but went to more prog trance, then went back to harder prog house tunes and then back to trance.
Also a bit of problem with gain on some of the transition but not that major of a fault.
Other than that, it was interesting to hear some of the tunes that I haven't heard before. (Esp. La mer (Micali remix) I love Chris Micali) |
Hey thanks for listening and for the comments- much appreciated. I definitely agree with you mentioning the difficulty of finding a balance between prog trance and house. I think in this one I took quite a few songs that I've been enjoying recently, and tried to make them work together when maybe it went back and forth between the genres too often.
I've definitely been experimenting with the gains when I've practiced. Trying to figure out a good technique that works the majority of the time, and then branching off from there. I usually bring the lows of the upcoming track down pretty far and after getting the two tracks on the same level then bringing the lows up gradually. I haven't messed with the mids or highs much. Going to continue practicing!
Glad you enjoyed "La Mer". I'm a big Micali fan as well.
Cheers!
