Half the time it doesn't detect your movements, the other half it over detects it. I am glad he bought it and I didn't. I personally would not ever waste my money on a load of crap like the wii.

u have to be gentle with it it's pretty easy to use once u realise u don't have to flail your arms like a knife wielding maniac and that u can actually just use subtle wrist movements.

Seriously... get one. I've owned the system for about 6+ months now, and would NEVER sell it. I'm not much for Mario/Zelda/other Nintendo games, but the games that it offers that aren't like that are fantastic. I don't know why, but I just love the physical involvement of swinging a bat during wii baseball and other games of that sort.

Maybe we have a fucked up system, because no matter what I do with it, flailing or not, it still doesn't work properly.

For example: when playing the golf game, whenever you have to putt, you can NEVER get it right.

I like games that respond immediately, and accurately. This console rarely does either.

Maybe it's a preference thing... perhaps people like the challenge of having to over compensate for the games shitty response. I would rather go play something else.

putting on wii sports is a bit tricky, i find that the short movements don't register so i try to make a really gentle but longer movement with it, and sometimes it does work. More a fan of the tennis which is good for 2 players, bowling and baseball, the one player stuff i don't really do so much at the moment. Even my mum can play tennis and she's not even 1990s compliant yet.

Backwards compatibility PLUS the Virtual Console in addition to the current gems is MORE than often to sell you on even paying full price.

ding ding ding. I got it with sports but could immediately load any of my gamecube games (the console itself broke ) Or get some points and get some old games, something I need to do yet.
