they used to have a badass rave on crystal beach called LoveFest, they were the coolest parties ever. However they usually played out of the back of a school bus or van or something. I doubt sand will get near your gear unless someone throws it on there wich is not usually in the rave vibe. Dont you have to have a permit for loud music?

yeah i guess you need a permit, but if you find a far-off beach and only have about 20 people, like a kickback you wont get caught.. i still need to research this because i was planning to go have a very small scale party/chillback on a beach this summer.
