In all seriousness, while picking track order is the basic qualifier as being a DJ, I still think that the spirit of DJing includes a creative element in there as well.
Depends how you define "creative"... many would argue that choosing the order of the tracks is the creative part and mixing them together is much more of a mechanical process (obviously depending on the DJ - I hardly think you could call Zabiela or Dave Clarke's mixing "mechanical")
